Before you contact us
Whenever you encounter a technical problem, you are always welcome to reach out to tech.support@woodmontcollege.edu.
This FAQ page is here to help you solve some problems on your own so that you don’t have to wait for us to get back to you but rather you can try to solve the problem on your own if it is after support hours or if it is very urgent.
Tech support will usually respond within 12 hours on business days. There is no support on Friday – Sunday.
When emailing tech support, please keep in mind these tips in order to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible:
- If you are locked out of one of your accounts, please state which account you are referring to. We get many emails stating “I can’t log into my account”. It is very helpful if you elaborate which account you can’t login to.
- In general, the more details you provide about the problem, the quicker and easier it is to solve. When there is a problem with one of your courses, always state what course, what week/Learning Skill, and what assignment you are having trouble with.
- If you are getting some sort of error message, it is always a good idea to send a screenshot or at least the exact wording of the error message.

Moodle FAQ
I forgot my username or password. What should I do?
When you try logging in to Moodle and get an invalid login error, it can mean one of two things-
- You are putting in the wrong username or password. You should try changing your password by clicking on the Forgotten your username or password? link. Then you can reset it by inputting your college email address and following the instructions.
- If, after trying that, you continue to get the invalid error- your account was probably suspended due to inactivity or an unpaid balance. If this is the case, please reach out to tech.support@woodmontcollege.edu.
I get an error when I try responding to a Discussion Board
If you get a syntax error when you try to respond to a discussion board, this usually indicates that your filter is blocking something.
The Gentech filter is known to cause this issue and can be fixed by reaching out directly to Gentech.
I completed all of my assignments but my final is still locked
Hover over the final tile to see which assignments are still not marked as completed. If you did complete those assignments (and passed them), email tech support for help.
