Our History

It all began with the mission to educate.

Naaleh College was established as a subsidiary of Beis Midrash of Queens (BMQ), a non-profit organization founded in 1982 by Rabbi Dr. Harold J. Reichman. Naaleh College – now Woodmont College – is a product of Rabbi Reichman’s mission to provide an affordable Jewish education for all and a product of the organization’s efforts to build charitable and educational endeavors throughout the world.

Naaleh.com: An education for all

In 2006, BMQ created Naaleh.com, an online program that offers a free Jewish education to all, notwithstanding the limitations of location, culture, age, level of Jewish education, or financial means. Naaleh.com offers free video lectures and classes on a wide range of Torah topics and currently has over 29,000 subscribers.

BMQ is recognized for providing quality education

BMQ established Naaleh College in 2012, and achieved Annual Licensure from the Florida Department of Education’s Commission for Independent Education (CIE).

Naaleh College was accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) in 2018 and reaccredited in 2020.

In the fall of 2021, Naaleh College was renamed Woodmont College.

In May 2023, Woodmont College was accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
